কচুপাতার টলমলে জলের মতন,
বেঁচে থাকার সুতীব্র বাসনায়,
মুখরিত আমার অন্ধকার ঘর,
সন্ধ্যতারা জ্বলবেনা হয়তো আজ,
শুধু দু-একটি জোনাকির আলোয়,
পা ফেলা আমার ধুলোময় আঙ্গিনায়,
শেওলাধরা সবুজ মুছে দিয়ে সেথা,
সবুজ ঘাসের গালিচা বিছাবো বলে,
স্বপ্ন দেখি এক শিশিরভেজা ভোরের,
দোয়েলের বহুকাঙ্ক্ষিত কোনো শিসে,
হাসবে সেথায় নতুন একটি সূর্য,
আমি এখন সুর্যোদয়ের খোঁজে,
সূর্যাস্তের ঘরে ছাই মেখে,
চলেছি এই অচিন তেপান্তরে,
জীবনটাকে বদলে দেব বলে......
